We are appealing for witnesses following a suspected arson in Kidderminster yesterday (Tuesday 14 April).
Emergency services attended a house fire on Stourbridge Road around 1.50pm.
A 25-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of arson and remains in custody. Thankfully, nobody was injured during the fire.
Detective Inspector Lisa Tibbitts said: “I am appealing to anybody who may have any information that could help with our enquires into the fire.
“In particular we are aware of a group of people who were walking towards the flats on Stourbridge Road, who we believe are key witnesses and I urge them to contact us.
“I’m thankful that nobody was injured as a result of the fire and following initial enquiries we believe this to be an isolated incident that posed no wider threat to the local community.”
